Cool Biz is one of the initiatives ISEE conference organizers have adopted to promote adaptive approaches to the thermal comfort (clothing appropriate to season). The Cool Biz dress code advises conference attendants to wear trousers made from materials that breathe and absorb moisture. Additionally, attendants are encouraged to wear short-sleeved shirts without jackets or ties. Cool Biz has been particularly effective in other conferences, specially in Asia, where their attitude in shaping collective behaviours and environmental policy practices are well known.
